Orlando Condos

Even though single-family homes predominate residential real estate in and around Orlando, condos and condo communities are in a constant state of development, and condo sales have continued to rise in Greater Orlando.

Orlando condos range in price from $50,000 up to $395,000 or more for luxury high-rise units with many amenities. Affordable investment properties can be found in the $20,000 and up range for smaller units, farther away from the theme parks and attractions.

Many condos are bought as investment property either as summer/vacation homes for the owners, or as properties to rent out to vacationing visitors. There are several communities such as Windsor Palms, Lake Berkley and Celebration that focus on this type of condominium real estate.

Several master planned communities and subdivisions such as Hunter’s Creek, Cypress Woods and Townes of Southgate offer Orlando condos ranging from $100,000 up to $200,000 for 2- or 3-bedrooom, 2-bath units. Toscana in Orlando’s Dr. Phillips area is an Italian-inspired community of single-family homes, townhomes and condos close to shopping and the theme parks. Two- or 3-bedroom condo units with 2,030 to 2,085 square feet of space in this community range in price from $263,000 to $279,000.

The gated and golf communities of Villa Del Sol and Verandas at North Shore offer Orlando condos designed for luxury living, at prices that would still be considered quite moderate. Villa Del Sol offers 3-bedroom units with 1,183 square feet starting at $104,000. And units on the private streets of Verandas range in price from $145,000 to $165,900.

Newer condo constructions include Viscaya Waterfront Village. This lakefront property is near three new plazas with restaurants, offices, shops and supermarkets. Prices for Orlando condos in this development start around $350,000 for a 3-bedroom, 2-bath unit.

In downtown Orlando, three new condo communities are part of that neighborhood’s revitalization. The Sanctuary, Eola South and North Orange lure buyers with their convenient locations. Located in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from downtown Orlando is a development called Cherokee Place Condos where a 2-bedroom, 2-bath unit will start around $289,000.
